FAQS

I noticed someone posting my images with the watermark. What should I do?

From time to time, we do encounter people posting watermarked screenshots from team galleries into social media. When that happens, we have a few suggestions:

  • Through Instagram, report the watermarked images; we’ve found that Instagram does take this seriously and will pull the post quickly.
  • Send a message to the person who posted the image with a message such as: “I enjoyed photographing you last week! We would appreciate it if you would not post watermarked photos. You can buy a social media download for as little as $5 through our browse-and-buy galleries at PhloxPhotos.com. Thanks in advance and have a great season!”
  • If the above does not deter, you also can share a message that says: “Please remove the watermarked image you captured from Phlox Photography. Posting copyrighted images looks bad to recruiters, and also is illegal. We appreciate your immediate attention to this matter.”
