CHEER & DANCE EVENTS
- Unlike traditional spotlight packages, when booking and selling photo coverage for a cheer or dance competition, Phlox offers TEAM spotlight packages, as opposed to individual packages.
- With these events, we offer pre-sale opportunities for teams to purchase their coverage. As with our Booster Club Fundraising Program, the organization earns a 10% commission of all sales as a way to incentivize and thank them for promoting advance Team Spotlight Sales.
- During these fast-paced events, the athletes do not wear jersey numbers nor do they have names on their uniforms. They also are moving positions frequently and are not staying in a single formation. For this reason, we offer Team Photo coverage with the understanding we will take as many photos as we can during their performance, and will endeavor to photograph every single member of the team. Those individual photos, however, are not guaranteed because it can be very difficult to capture action at the back of the performance, and often can be hard to know if we have photographed every participant.
- When shooting such events, and if time permits, try to photograph individuals as they line up before taking to the mat, and if possible, when celebrating after their performance. That will increase the odds of capturing as many athletes as possible during their limited performing time.
- Following your event, you will want to sort, organize and tag your photos by team and place those images in a single team gallery that will be part of the event group. Translated: Tag and post each team gallery as you would a single spotlight gallery.
