File Naming & Culling(in Lightroom)

  • DO NOT RENAME FILES: You want the files to retain their original file names from the camera. This enables rapid access in case you or Phlox needs to retrieve the original files.
  • USE STARS / PICKS TO CULL YOUR IMAGES: Quickly review images and select ONLY THOSE PHOTOS that meet quality standards. Ensure they prominently feature faces or key action, are in focus, and can be adjusted for exposure without sacrificing too much image quality.
  • BATCH EDIT: Adjust the color and exposure on your first image. For all images taken in similar lighting and color conditions, you can select and batch edit those photos all at once.
  • Keep your shots NATURAL in post-production. Just like a news organization, we do not add filters or special effects to action sports images.
