PHLOX SHOOTING ETIQUTTE AND TIPS

  • Please arrive early to your events so you can introduce yourself to your contact and relevant staff. If you have questions, please ask referees and other event coordinators, when it is convenient for them, to confirm which areas are off-limits.
  • Make sure to store your extra gear somewhere safe, but also out of the way of other foot traffic. We want to ensure your gear does not pose a trip hazard for anyone else.
  • When in doubt, ask your contact or event coordinator where you can safely store your bag or other gear.
  • Pay attention to what is happening around you. It is easy to get injured when looking through a lens as it can distort your perception of proximity to rapidly approaching athletes.
  • Know the rules of the game. Respect the officials, coaches, athletes, and staff at all times.
  • Anticipate the action to capture the best action shots. Look for and photograph action off the field.
  • Always be kind and courteous. Please pay attention to your position and location when shooting; do your very best not to stand in front of fans or spectators.
  • If you have questions, please ask referees and other event coordinators, when it is convenient for them, to confirm which areas are off-limits.
